World of Color: Glow With the Show

Hi every one! How's your week going so far? I know it's only Tuesday, but before you know it it'll be Friday! so hang in there!

So after the delicious dinner at Carthay Circle Restaurant, some friends and I headed over to Mickey's Fun Wheel to wait for the special showing of World of Color that's exclusively for passholders that have registered for it. Each passholders also gets these new Glow With The Show Mickey ear hats! Don't you just love free stuff??? hahaha. So Disney has this new hats with lighted up ears that syncs up with other ears, Mad T Party, and the World of Color show. Not only that it just lights up, when I saw syncs, I meant it glowed with the show! the ears were the colors of the fountain and it also goes with the song! It was truly amazing... Especially being around every one that's also wearing the ears, because not every one is going to have the ears on a regular showing. So thanks for my Mickey ear hat Disney!!!

A Disney 4th of July

Hello hello! I know it may seem weird that I haven't written in a while and then BAM! Post dump! I think I'm going to write quick posts from now on so that I can write more frequently.

So last week was the 4th of July holiday and it was right in the middle of the week, a Wednesday. Some people were complaining why it couldn't be on either a Monday or a Friday, and although that is ideal so that we could have a 3 day weekend, I though it was kinda nice. Tuesday felt like a Friday so it gave the illusion that it was a really short working week, and Wednesday the 4th, felt like a Saturday. Although it was a little bit of a drag coming to work the next day, I realized that it was a Thursday and that the weekend will come in no time.

Anyway, the boyfriend and I spent the 4th at Disneyland, surprise surprise, lol. We can't help it, we have Disney fever! Well, more than before anyway...  I was a little bit bummed that the weather was really cloudy and chilly for a Summer. We started by taking a look at the Castle exhibition, then we had lunch at the Carnation Cafe, and it was our first time there. It's a pretty small restaurant on Main St. and it has just recently been renovated. When we were waiting for our food, the Chef greeted us. Chef Oscar is the current oldest cast member, since 1956!!! Here are some pictures from our day.

Carthay Circle Restaurant

Happy Monday every one!!! Yea, I know Mondays can be a drag. You've just recovered from the weekend and the last thing you wanna do is be cooped up in an office or a classroom. But look at it this way, you know how every new years its like your slate being wiped clean and the new year comes with new opportunities and new chances? I see it that way now and it makes facing the new week so much easier. Embrace your challenges and before you know it, its Friday! =]

Anyway, I just wanted to do a quick post about my recent foodie trip to the Carthay Circle Restaurant inside Disney California Adventure. It is the new restaurant on Buena Vista Street that is a replica of the Carthay Circle Theater in Los Angeles where Walt Disney had the premier of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs back in 1937. When you enter the building you will find yourself in the waiting area until you can be seated and on the right side is the lounge area. Throughout the whole building there's black and white pictures of Walt and his family and at the premier of Snow White. The whole place has a 1920s feel to it and its amazing. The restaurant section of the building is actually on the second floor. There are outdoor and indoor seating and in the middle of the room is a huge mural of Snow White.

I'm so sad that I didn't take pictures of the surrounding, but I didn't want to bother people having dinner with my flashes haha. Warning, the food pictures will make you hungry!

Disney Early Preview Part II: Cars Land

Hello! I hope everyone is having a great weekend! The boyfriend and I just got back from Disneyland again, but this time we just went to CA Adventure. Had dinner then spent most of the night at Cars Land just soaking everything in again and rode Luigi's Flying Tires. I saw pictures from yesterday's opening ceremony and from some friends who went and it was absolute madness!!! The Radiator Springs Racers wait time went up to almost 5 to 6 hours!!! That made my spending of $50 to go in a week early so much sweeter. Anyway, let's relive my time there from last week.

So after Buena Vista street, we exited and wound up right in front of the Carthay Circle Restaurant. We were so excited to see Cars Land and everything else that we forgot to check where to go in from. First we went by a bug's land, nope dead end, then we went around to where Ghirardelli is and still a dead wend, so we went back to  bug's land to check again, and yuppp, still a dead end. We went back pass Ghirardelli to Pacific Wharf and ta-da!!!

There it is! hahaha

Disney Early Preview Part I: Buena Vista Street

Hi everyone! Oh man I did it again... It's been a while since I've posted anything >< Remember when I was complaining that work has been boring? I shouldn't have said anything... Because now I actually have a lot of work to do! Also the weather in SoCal has been getting warmer and warmer, which is awesome except for the fact that it is FREEZING inside my office building! Which results in me getting these really bad headaches... Also my weekends have been pretty full lately and it leaves me tired afterwards.

BUT!!! Last weekend has been the most awesome one in a while. If you're a true Disney freak like I am, you know that Cars Land, the new land inside California Adventure Park, is about to open, on June 15, 2012 to be precise. But if you're an annual pass holder, Disney gave you the opportunity to experience Cars Land and Buena Vista Street a week earlier than the grand opening for a price of $50 (There's also one for $75 that includes a private showing of World of Color, and a $500 one that includes a mean at the new Carthay Circle Restaurant). So being a true Disney freaks that we are, the boyfriend and our Disney freak newlywed friends jumped at the chance. We bought the tickets the day we got the email.

At first I thought wow, I'm paying Disney even more money to experience something I already paid for, but then I realized how crowded it would be the first few months, and that will probably kill the good memories we could have had. I remember when the new Star Tours ride opened last year, I went on opening weekend, got there before the park opened in the morning, and we still had to wait about an hour. We came back later on in the day and wait time was 2 hours, and it was like that for a couple of months. So I figured this was a good decision.

Boy was I wrong... it wasn't a good decision... It was a GREAT decision!!! It was seriously the best $50 we've all ever spent! Since this is going to be a really long post, I'm going to split it by two. First up, Buena Vista Street.

They're bringing Oswold back since it's his era haha
