Disney Early Preview Part I: Buena Vista Street

Hi everyone! Oh man I did it again... It's been a while since I've posted anything >< Remember when I was complaining that work has been boring? I shouldn't have said anything... Because now I actually have a lot of work to do! Also the weather in SoCal has been getting warmer and warmer, which is awesome except for the fact that it is FREEZING inside my office building! Which results in me getting these really bad headaches... Also my weekends have been pretty full lately and it leaves me tired afterwards.

BUT!!! Last weekend has been the most awesome one in a while. If you're a true Disney freak like I am, you know that Cars Land, the new land inside California Adventure Park, is about to open, on June 15, 2012 to be precise. But if you're an annual pass holder, Disney gave you the opportunity to experience Cars Land and Buena Vista Street a week earlier than the grand opening for a price of $50 (There's also one for $75 that includes a private showing of World of Color, and a $500 one that includes a mean at the new Carthay Circle Restaurant). So being a true Disney freaks that we are, the boyfriend and our Disney freak newlywed friends jumped at the chance. We bought the tickets the day we got the email.

At first I thought wow, I'm paying Disney even more money to experience something I already paid for, but then I realized how crowded it would be the first few months, and that will probably kill the good memories we could have had. I remember when the new Star Tours ride opened last year, I went on opening weekend, got there before the park opened in the morning, and we still had to wait about an hour. We came back later on in the day and wait time was 2 hours, and it was like that for a couple of months. So I figured this was a good decision.

Boy was I wrong... it wasn't a good decision... It was a GREAT decision!!! It was seriously the best $50 we've all ever spent! Since this is going to be a really long post, I'm going to split it by two. First up, Buena Vista Street.

They're bringing Oswold back since it's his era haha

Aren't their t-shirts the cutest you've ever seen???

We're wearing the t-shirts they gave us too! Everyone was pointing and asking us where we got it haha

The Red Car Trolley

Some pretty colorful jars inside the store, thought it was interesting

The Ice Cream shop

So cuteeeee!!!

Yes, That's an actual Starbucks!!!

The Starbucks cups are so cute!!!

The Carthay Circle Restaurant

Someone trying to take a peek at Cars Land haha

This used to be a tortilla factory and they changed it into a Ghirardelli Ice Cream Parlor like the one in SF

The newly redesigned Buena Vista Street offers the feel of the 1920s. All the cast members working there dressed from that era, and these guys did too...

I wish I was fast enough to take pictures of them from the front >< They were on their way out

But we did manage to catch 1920s Mickey!!!

And Pluto!

Hahaha, looks like Mickey is kissing Pluto

Always happens with Pluto or Goofy...

I wanna come back already...

The last few pictures are after Cars Land. We were supposed to only be there between 1-5 PM but we ended up leaving at 9!!! More on that in part II! Hope you all enjoy the pictures until you can experience it yourself on June 15 =]

Have a great day and until my next post! =D

    1. haha did you get a chance to go to disneyland when you were in the states Lisa? There is one in Paris, I've only been there once, I wish I could go again... Yea before it was just "California Sunshine" with a golden gate, but didn't have a solid theme, now its really nice. If you think I had fun here, wait until part 2! =D
